Chemical Vs. Heat

Chemical bed bug treatments generally take 4 or more treatments spaced over one to several months. During this time, things must be cleaned, washed, dried, bagged, and vacuumed. Bed bugs can really consume your life. All personal items must be bagged and run through the dryer, put in the freezer, treated, or thrown away. Although not always necessary, homeowners often throw away mattresses, headboards, furniture, and other items that are infested. This is very costly and time-consuming. Heat treatment requires some preparation, but it usually completely kills all bugs within 24 hours. Having bed bugs does not have to be a terrible nightmare. We simply heat the home up to 145 degrees using state of the art heaters for around three hours making sure to eliminate any cold spots where bed bugs might survive. Afterward, our bed bug detection canine, Radar, will come in 24 hours later to inspect the home or business and confirm elimination.
