Case Study #1

We were contacted by a family with 3 children in a 2 bedroom town home because the mother and 2 children were getting bit. 2 other pest control companies had identified bed bugs in the home. She had spent over $2,000 on chemical treatments but the problem was not resolved. Our canine team found no evidence of bed bugs. The bugs that were identified as “bed bugs” were actually carpet beetle larvae. The family cleaned the home and we monitored for the next 4 months. No bed bugs ever found. It was an allergic reaction. When first contacted, she wanted us to heat treat the town home. She saved about $1,500.

Case Study #2

We were contacted by an apartment complex that had widespread bed bug infestations. They had been battling bed bugs for over 3 years using chemical treatments. They were not getting on top of the problem. Media got word of their situation and made a very big deal about it. They began to lose renters and had a hard time renting new apartments because of the bad media exposure. We were able to inspect using our bed bug detection do and visual inspections and determine which apartments and other areas in the building with bed bugs. We designed a comprehensive and aggressive plan to tackle the problem including heat treatments, wall void treatments, preventative measures, and follow up inspections. We tackled the problem in about 2 weeks and they are bed bug free! The treatments were incredibly successful even in some very difficult situations. We saved this apartment complex tens of thousands of dollars and rescued their reputation.

Case Study #3

A hotel contacted us about a suspicious bug in one of their hotel rooms that they believed was a bed bug. To their knowledge they had never had bed bugs on the property. We brought in our bed bug detection canine and located bed bugs in the suspected room. We then searched the adjoining rooms. Our bed bug dog located bed bugs in the adjacent rooms and 5 others right in a row. It made 8 infested rooms in total. Visual confirmation of bed bugs was done in every room to verify the dog’s alerts. We heated all 8 rooms in 3 days and successfully eliminated all bed bugs in a single treatment. We not only eliminated the bed bugs and saved the hotel thousands of dollars, but we also saved the reputation of the hotel and saved all the hotel guests from being bit and possibly taking the bed bugs home.
